TherapyWorks Neurodiversity Services and Counselling Associates is seeking an experienced, Master’s prepared, Kamloops based Counsellor for our growing practice with adults, children, youth and their families, as well as general mental health clients (trauma, relationship concerns, workplace stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, loss, parenting concerns, life transitions, living with a chronic disease, etc).

Successful candidates will have:

  • A master's degree in a counselling discipline

  • Registration with BCCSW, BCACC, BCCP.

  • Registration for clinicians working from out of province must be with the equivalent provincial regulatory body. 

  • Professional liability insurance

  • Completed or in progress vulnerable sector criminal record check

  • Experience with one or more treatment modalities would be an asset (e.g. CBT, DBT, EMDR, EFT, MI, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, Brain-spotting, etc.)

  • Able to work 10-25 hours a week

  • Experience facilitating a group is an asset

  • Experience with neurodivergence is an asset

  • Evening and weekend availability is an asset

  • Experience working with youth and young adults/ families is an asset

  • Trauma informed practice and experience working with trauma is essential

  • Must be comfortable working independently and part of a collaborative team

  • Must have working knowledge of privacy legislation, confidentiality and duty to report requirements.

  • Must use approaches that are not aligned with ABA (applied behavioural analysis).
