Third Party Coverage for Services
The following agencies or insurance companies have previously provided coverage for Counselling Services with TherapyWorks or we have an agreement in place with these insurance programs. Those with an asterisk do not currently accept direct billing for counselling services. Others will accept direct billing dependent upon your plan. In the case we can't direct bill, we will provide you with a receipt you can submit for reimbursement with your provider. Any co-pay portions (amount you pay out of pocket) are charged at the time of the services.
Some insurance plans below may not offer direct billing, dependent upon the specific group/ contract. Please check your insurance documents for more information. Alternately, you can call the insurer to confirm your coverages. ​​

Our Occupational Therapists are registered to the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) in BC.

We are neurodiversity affirming and not behavioural in our approaches, which means our other clinicians have elected not to pursue RASP qualifications.

Autism Funding can be used for counselling any family member in your household. The purpose of the counselling is not required to be related to Autism directly.

Counselling can be accessed for families with children under 6.

Therapy Assistants can work with children in both the under 6 program and the 6-18 program.

Autism funding ends at the end of the birth month of a child's 19th birthday (not 18).

Our clinical team can complete Justification for Equipment Forms. We do need to meet with your child though. Our team is knowledgeable about the rules related to equipment and supply requests.

We do not require you to sign over all of your Autism funding to TherapyWorks. We want you to maintain control over the service frequency and be in charge of the budget you have available for services. Many clients access multiple funding sources and we can create a plan that allows you to maximize the resources you have available to you.
